Last Tuesday, I bought my second doll.
Purchasing another doll was something I'd intended to do shortly after getting out of school, but did not for various reasons. My first doll had only come about a month before and I wanted to situate myself a little better in the hobby first, especially in regards to learning to do face-ups and getting a small collection of clothes. In short, I still wanted another doll but just wasn't ready.
However, as time passed, I found myself not really wanting another doll. I was very content with the one I had and didn't really see a need for another that was the same size as Adelheid. There were a couple of dolls I really liked, but couldn't get myself to buy one. When I bought my first doll, I intended for her to be the first of many over the years so this was a little odd for me because usually when I've wanted and planned something for months, I have no problem going through with the intentions.
I'd liked a certain doll for about a month but still wouldn't buy because of the satisfaction with one. Then, about three weekends ago, I was going to buy her on impulse, something that I rarely do. The company was not taking orders over the weekend which prevented this, thankfully. When I intended to buy her again the following weekend, again, on impulse, the orders were down again to finish repairs. I couldn't wait for orders to open again the following Tuesday (last week's Tuesday), so that I could finally go through with this.
So yes, as of last Tuesday morning, around 5:45 am, I bought my second doll, a Luts Kid Delf Girl Bory.
I felt content with one doll. I'd bring her with me when I make trips to certain stores and always when I go to a friend's house.
Eventually I decided to go through with buying a second doll which I did very early in the morning yesterday. My decision was a Luts Kid-Delf, another size description name, and the model is Bory, the girl version. She's a few centimeters smaller than Adelheid.
